Perth Observatory: The science we did and the remaining possibilities

WA astronomy historian, Craig Bowers, will discuss the significant historical event at the Perth Observatory over the past 50 years, the science that they did and the possibilities that still remain.

It is 120 years since the Perth Observatory was established at Mt Eliza, and 50 years since it moved to Bickley in the Perth Hills. WA astronomy historian, Craig Bowers, will discuss the events of the past 50 years, the science that they did and the possibilities that still remain, not just in science but also in other areas e.g. history and computing. Come along and find out just what it means to be “an astronomer”.
